The Oregon House Labor and Workforce Development Committee adopted updated committee rules at its organizational meeting on Feb. 2, 2025.
Erin, committee staff, told lawmakers the rules largely mirror the chamber's existing procedures but include two updates: referencing a carryover provision in the chamber rules (rule 8) and adjusting the minority report deadline (rule 11) to reflect timelines for the 2026 session. Vice Chair Scharf moved to adopt the rules dated 02/02/2026.
The committee recorded a roll-call vote. Representative Bossard Davis was excused; Representatives Bunch, Fraglia, Nelson, Ricky Smith, Vice Chair Munoz, Vice Chair Scharf and Chair Dacia Graber voted aye. Chair Graber announced, “With that, the motion passes.”
The committee chair said the body intends to run efficiently during a packed session and will begin meetings as soon as quorum exists. No further action was taken at today’s meeting.
