Committee introduces two legislative concepts on public meetings and health care

During a Feb. 5 work session the House Rules Committee voted to introduce two committee legislative concepts.
Vice Chair Elmer moved to introduce LC 118 (dated Feb. 4, 2026) and LC 328 (dated Feb. 3, 2026). Committee staff summarized LC 118 as restating serial communications prohibitions under the public meetings law and adjusting enforcement and training provisions; LC 328 declares a state policy goal that, by 2033, Oregon's health-care system will be more affordable and accessible. Desi, the clerk, called the roll; Representatives Graebert, Krepp, Scarlatos, Wallen, Vice Chair Elmer, Vice Chair Pham and Chair Bowman recorded "aye." The motion passed and the concepts were introduced as committee bills.
