Grant Wallace, director of the Employee Benefits Division and Office of Property Risk, told members the contract is part of a new Office of Procurement program that prequalifies a set of vendors to assist state agencies with procurements and RFP development. "This is a contract for $280,000... Boston Consulting Group was the one that we selected to assist us with the development of the third party administration RFP," Wallace said.
The chair asked for and received a motion to review the contract; the committee recorded an affirmative voice vote and the motion "carried." No member requested substantive amendments during the presentation or motion. The item was presented as Exhibit B1 to the State Board of Finance actions under review.
EBD staff said the RFP is expected to be issued in the coming months; Wallace answered procedural questions from members but did not specify an exact issuance date. The committee did not record a roll‑call tally in the transcript and approved the review by voice vote.
