Cedarville school staff reimburses $794 after audit flags improper credit-card charges

Arkansas Legislative Audit presented a finding that an elementary-school employee in the Cedarville School District made $794 in improper credit-card charges for personal expenses. The employee resigned in June 2025 and reimbursed the district, and school officials filed a police report.
Mr. Fink told the committee the matter was submitted to the Professional Licensure Standards Board (PLSB). Committee members asked staff whether the PLSB attached disciplinary action to the teacher’s certificate or took other steps; Mr. Fink said staff believed PLSB took no further action and would share updates if new information emerged.
The Chair filed the Cedarville report as reviewed.
