The Michigan City Board of Aviation Commissioners on Feb. 19 approved two 10‑year land‑lease extensions for hangars at the Michigan City Terminal and voted to pay a claims docket totaling $12,321.30.
The board accepted the minutes from its prior meeting by voice vote after an unidentified member moved to approve the minutes and a second was recorded. The vote was announced as unanimous.
Under new business, the manager said Dennis Cain's hangar is eligible for its standard 10‑year extension on top of a 20‑year base lease and that the lessee's aircraft is airworthy. A motion to renew the land lease for Hangar 84‑13 for Dennis Cain was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board then considered a 10‑year extension for Taggart Aviation LLC. The manager said the LLC is current with state filings and that Paul Wojcak is managing the hangar operations; the board moved, seconded and approved the Taggart Aviation LLC land-lease extension.
The board also approved a claims docket of $12,321.30 following a motion and second. In each case the chair called for "all in favor" and recorded "Aye," and the motions were announced as carried.
The actions taken were procedural approvals of lease renewals and payment of expenses; no changes to lease terms beyond the existing CPI-based annual adjustments were reported during the meeting.
The board adjourned following the meeting's remaining business.
