Senator Weber Pearson moved an adjournment in memory of Reverend Jesse Lewis Jackson, recounting Jackson’s decades-long civil-rights leadership, the founding of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, and his national influence on voting rights and economic justice. Several senators joined in remembering Jackson and asked the body to adjourn in his memory.
