Wilson County board receives collections report and approves refunds/releases; one refund denied

Crawford Bolton, Wilson Countys tax administrator, presented the November 2025 collections report to the Board of Commissioners at the Jan. 12 meeting and reviewed recommendations for December 2025 refunds and releases in excess of $100.
Bolton told the board he would answer questions about specific items if needed and identified one recommended refund/release that did not meet statutory requirements; for that case he recommended denial. The board moved to approve the refunds and releases in excess of $100 as presented, accepted the collections report and separately moved to approve the recommendation to deny the single refund/release that did not meet statutory criteria. Both motions were seconded and carried.
