Crystal Lake swears in three new lieutenants and 10 probationary firefighter-paramedics

Chief Snyder told the council the department had 13 members present for the event: three were promoted to lieutenant (Camille Hoche, John Ryan and Matt Luke) and ten were sworn in as probationary firefighter-paramedics. Chief Snyder said the department added 19 staff over the past year to meet the staffing levels approved in 2024 and to cover retirements and resignations.
Family members assisted in pinning badges during the ceremony. One of the newly sworn probationary firefighter-paramedics identified in the record is Josephine Lawrence; additional new hires listed were Christian Brown, Juliana Contessa, Daniel Doyle, Alex Hoye, Connor Hewitt, Michael Swatley, Brian Kaminski, Nathan Moyer, Jordan Graw and Tyler Hajduk.
Chief Snyder and council members congratulated the promoted and new staff. The sworn personnel and their promotions are recorded in the official meeting file and will be reflected in departmental staffing rosters.
Council then resumed regular municipal business.
