The Crystal Lake City Council approved routine business items during its Oct. 7 meeting, including minutes from the Sept. 16 regular meeting, accounts payable and a multi-item consent agenda.
A motion to approve the Sept. 16 minutes was made and seconded; a roll-call vote recorded affirmative votes from the councilmembers present and the motion passed. A separate motion to approve accounts payable passed by roll call. Later the council moved to approve a consent agenda that bundled several items: (1) a special-event request for a downtown Festival of Lights Parade and related downtown event permits; (2) an update to Freedom of Information Act rules and guidelines; (3) an intergovernmental agreement with the state of Illinois for Route 31 improvements; (4) a one-year extension for Mercy Health's temporary clinic at 875 S. Route 31; (5) bid awards for on-call snow removal services; (6) a sustainability committee charter amendment; (7) an adopt-a-highway application for the sustainability committee; and (8) a proposal award for cloud migration services. The consent package was approved by roll call with the council recording affirmative votes.
