The Board of Supervisors approved two personnel actions aimed at strengthening county operations.
The board approved adding one Treasurer-Tax Specialist to the Treasurer-Tax Collector's office to support ACH and wire transactions, enhance reconciliation and security, and expand electronic payment options. Staff said the position will be 25% funded through Health & Human Services and 75% by treasury funds, that salary savings will offset initial costs, and that the addition has minimal general fund impact.
Separately, Human Resources presented an advance step request for a Social Worker Supervisor 2 candidate in the Children’s Services branch (identified as Mrs. Burris). HR Director Veronica Baumgartner said the candidate holds a master’s degree in social work and more than 26 years of relevant experience; the board approved the advanced step with no general‑fund impact.
Both items were approved unanimously on roll‑call votes.
