At its Feb. 24 meeting, the La Porte County Regional Sewer and Water District voted to approve three construction disbursements tied to the Hudson/Sogony projects.
The board approved contract A pay application #7 in the amount of $319,133.31, which the engineer said primarily covers pump‑station equipment purchases. The board also approved contract B (Selj) pay application #5 for $74,006.25 covering installed pipe and grinders, and approved change order #6 for contract B, a net increase of $8,556.50 to reflect grinder‑station adjustments requested by property owners and to satisfy gravity lateral‑slope requirements.
Engineers reported that overall project quantities are roughly 44% complete for installed pipe across both contracts and that Selj has installed 4 of the planned 78 grinders. The board was told contract A remains the larger pay application this month because of equipment purchases that are not filed as stored material.
All three items were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote; the minutes record the board’s voice approval for each motion. No individual roll‑call votes or member vote tallies were recorded in the public transcript.
Next steps include processing the approved pay applications for payment and incorporating the change‑order adjustments into the project accounting. The board also discussed land acquisition status and the need to continue coordination with property owners.
