YUBA COUNTY — The Yuba County Board of Supervisors on Feb. 25 appointed Casa Knight to the District 2 seat on the Yuba County Planning Commission for a term ending Jan. 9, 2029.
Supervisor House said he reviewed both applications and spoke with applicants before moving to appoint Casa Knight. Pamela Wormack, who previously served on the commission and described experience with CEQA/NEPA and as president of Keep 70 Safe, addressed the board to explain her qualifications. Casa Knight described her 30‑plus years as a county resident, experience in private and public sectors (including contract and project management work with Caltrans), and commitment to smart growth.
Board members thanked both applicants for volunteering. One former planning commissioner praised the applicants’ willingness to serve, and supervisors discussed the longstanding courtesy practice of the district supervisor making appointments to local commissions. With a motion and second on the floor, the board approved the appointment by voice vote.
Knight will serve on the Planning Commission and staff will process the formal appointment and term documentation.
