Organizers preview Beale Air & Space Expo; county staff pledge coordination on traffic, parking and STEM activities

YUBA COUNTY — Beale Air Show organizers presented details of the Air & Space Expo scheduled for the first weekend in June 2025 and asked the Board of Supervisors to support local coordination for traffic flow, vendor involvement and STEM programming.
Emily Rery, a Beale Air Show representative, said the event will feature the Thunderbirds and other military and civilian aerial demonstrations along with an expanded STEM area for children; organizers estimated attendance near 25,000 people per day and about 8,000 cars daily, and said admission to the air show is free with parking managed by reservations and passes (organizers said complimentary parking passes will be available beginning March 31 and parking passes for enhanced experiences are currently on sale at bealeairshow.com).
Jamie Knoll and other members of the Beale military liaison council described volunteer, vendor and sponsorship opportunities and thanked the county for operational support. Supervisors asked about the scope and parameters of the TFR (temporary flight restriction) and potential impacts on agricultural operations; organizers said base leadership will provide details and the county will be updated.
Board members and local stakeholders expressed enthusiasm for STEM and community engagement during the two‑day event and encouraged coordination with senior centers, vocational programs and other local partners to expand on‑site educational offerings.
County staff and organizers said they will continue coordinating logistics, event staffing and communications with local emergency planners and agricultural stakeholders.
