Manager Dietz described work to finalize cost and capacity data that will inform budget allocations. Board members emphasized staff safety and the professionalism of marked vehicles for fieldwork.
Dr. Amster, speaking for the finance committee, said the recommendation accepts the staff‑presented budget with the single adjustment for an additional vehicle. The board voted on the recommendation by roll call and approved forwarding the budget to the county board for final action.
Next steps: the department’s budget packet will go to the county review process; staff will coordinate with the county garage and finance staff on fleet management and vehicle signage and rotation plans.
