PLUM BOROUGH — The Plum Borough School District board certified newly elected directors, administered oaths and elected board officers at its Dec. 2 reorganization meeting.
Certificates of election from the Allegheny County return board were read into the record confirming that Adam Hill, Tiffany Hyde, Joe Clippa and Jeter Sloan were duly elected to the Plum Borough School District board of school directors. Judge Mike Doyle administered the oath of office to the four new directors; in the oath they repeated the pledge to “discharge the duties of my office with fidelity.”
Nominations for board president were opened later in the meeting. A board member nominated Dr. Renee Richardson; another board member seconded the nomination. Under board policy requiring a majority of votes cast, the board conducted a roll-call ballot. The presiding officer declared the vote unanimous and Dr. Renee Richardson was seated as the board’s president for a one-year term.
The board then took nominations for vice president. Two nominations were placed — Michelle Stepnick (nominated based on seniority) and Adam Hill. A roll-call vote resulted in a 7–2 tally in favor of Adam Hill, who was elected vice president for a one-year term.
Following the officer elections, Dr. Richardson thanked Judge Doyle, board staff and family members for their support and said she looked forward to working with returning and new board members to serve students and the community.
The president opened the public comment period and explained the three-minute time limit and sign-in procedure; no members of the public made remarks. The board announced its upcoming December meetings, including a budget workshop scheduled for Dec. 9, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the district library. A motion to adjourn passed and the public meeting was closed; the board then moved into a brief executive session.
