At its Nov. 10 meeting the State Controlling Board approved the majority of held items after questioning and presentations from agency representatives. Items discussed and approved included the amended $1.2 million release to Central State University and an OFCC assessment contract (items 6 and 66), Ohio State/OhioLINK funding (item 19), the Auditor of State’s TeamMate license renewal (item 28), a Department of Administrative Services procurement change (item 36), the Department of Behavioral Health land-acquisition item (item 41), a $4,000,000 increase for the Summer Food Service Program (item 56), Department of Job and Family Services increases related to shared services and federal incentives (items 58 and 60), and a contract amendment for the Department of Children and Youth (item 61).
The board deferred item 15 (Ohio University) to the board’s Dec. 1 meeting at the request that university representatives attend to answer questions about a roughly $3,000,000 change order.
Several items were approved by voice consent after brief Q&A. Where members raised procurement or vendor-performance concerns (Central State, DAS procurement and the Auditor of State license), agency witnesses said they would pursue contract closeout or standard procurement reviews and that they had performed internal assessments before recommending continuations or changes.
