OhioLINK funding to Ohio State clarified; board approves Ohio State item

"We serve as our fiscal agent...so the money will go to Ohio State University and we will on their behalf use that money to pay for the library content as part of this request and to provide services to the libraries in Ohio," Costa said.
The board also heard from the executive director of OhioLINK (name not stated on the record) who clarified that OhioLINK is a consortium of academic institutions and that public libraries operate under separate organizations and are not direct recipients of OhioLINK academic-content funds. Senator Ingram confirmed the program serves academic institution libraries only. The board heard no objections and approved the item.
