Community events and appointments: The council authorized an agreement with Cranberry Highlands Golf Course for the borough’s 2026 scholarship golf outing scheduled for July 27, 2026. The council also appointed Brian Malcolm as delegate and an individual identified as 'Jangli' as the alternate to an external body; both appointments were approved by voice vote.
Public works contracts and purchases: Council approved a one-year extension with Wright Asphalt for milling and disposal services at $2.63 per square yard plus $1,300 mobilization, and accepted a United States Surety Company performance bond for the Cardinal Ridge plan as presented. The borough authorized the purchase of a 2027 International HV507 cab and chassis from Hill International LLC at $124,180.84 and a truck-body uplift at $101,483 under CoStar contracts. Parks investment: Council authorized the purchase of an accessible playground structure for Blueberry Patch Playground through PS Commercial Play LLC, doing business as Play and Park Structures (Chattanooga, Tenn.), for a total cost of $443,076.00; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Next steps: The council conducted routine department reports before moving into an executive session later in the evening to continue discussion of potential litigation related to a long-running property enforcement matter. No votes were planned following the executive session.
