Jefferson County honors Susan and Danny Tuggle for decades of civic service

The chair read Susan Tuggle's record of service to the Jefferson County Library, the Northwest R‑1 School District (including seven years as board president), the Jefferson College Board of Trustees and various nonprofit organizations. The proclamation recognized her advocacy for students and for child-welfare involvement through CASA.
The council then honored Danny Tuggle for decades of entrepreneurship and community leadership, noting his founding of a local golf course, involvement in the Northwest Chamber of Commerce and service on planning and zoning and parks and recreation boards. Family members were invited to stand as the council read the proclamations.
Council members offered personal remarks and thanked the Tuggles for their sustained community contributions.
