City finance staff presented detailed regular payments and a quarterly financial review at the Dec. 9, 2025 Mona City Council meeting.
Staff highlighted that general-fund revenues were about 88.36% of projections halfway through the fiscal year and that total taxes were at roughly 74.23%. Licenses and permits trailed at about 25.82 percent owing to a lack of new subdivisions. The finance briefing noted one-time grants increased certain intergovernmental revenue lines. The water fund showed lower-than-expected operating income and the sewer fund reflected expenses delayed pending equipment purchases; staff also reminded council that outstanding bond payments (a $100,000 bond for water, a $250,000 bond for sewer) will affect future fund balances.
Council moved to approve the regular financials and recorded ayes. Staff also outlined that finance director Linda Steele will be added to authorized signers on city accounts and will work with the bank to finalize required signatures.
