Jacob Wilson, committee staff, gave a brief reminder that the bill updates the Motor Fuel Quality Act to fold alternative and gaseous fuels into the definition of motor vehicle fuel so the weights-and-measures and testing authorities can evaluate and regulate newer fuel types such as hydrogen. Vice Chair Hall moved the substitute bill be reported out with a due-pass recommendation; the motion was seconded and the committee proceeded to a voice vote.
