The Selma Planning Board voted to recommend that Town Council approve a special-use permit for Lee Holdings LLC to operate a cabinetry and countertop retail business with subordinate on-site stone fabrication at 112 South Bullock Street, the former Pepsi Bottling Company building in the town’s historic area.
Planning staff said the site is zoned GB and that the proposal — retail sales with subordinate manufacturing/processing (stone cutting) — aligns with the Unified Development Ordinance and the town’s comprehensive land-use plan. Staff noted no exterior changes are proposed and that technical permits (for stormwater, utilities, etc.) would be addressed in later reviews if needed.
Board members asked whether utilities and sewage would be impacted by the manufacturing component; staff said technical reviews and subsequent permitting would address those matters. After discussion the board moved and voted to recommend approval to Town Council.
