The Selma Planning Board recommended that Town Council adopt a text amendment to Section 17-505 of the Unified Development Ordinance to strengthen off-street parking and storage standards for recreational vehicles in residential districts.
Staff explained the amendment would prohibit RV parking in the street, require RVs to be stored in driveways or on property areas that meet driveway standards, and address vehicles in a state of disrepair. The change is intended as part of broader efforts to update parking standards as the town grows.
Board members asked clarifying questions about where RVs may be parked and confirmed the amendment was consistent with current law. The board moved, seconded and approved a recommendation to Town Council by voice vote.
