The university emphasized an emphasis on applied programs, entrepreneurship and partnerships with local employers.
A formal motion to approve the 18‑month extension (from 03/31/2026 to 09/03/2027) was moved and the board voted to approve with unanimous "Aye" responses recorded in the transcript.
