The commission closed nominations and then voted "Motion carries unanimously 4 0," appointing Davis to the chair position. After a brief recess the body reconvened and followed the same process for vice chair. Commissioner Terry Gavett accepted the nomination and was appointed by the same unanimous 4-0 vote.
The appointments were procedural actions taken by the advisory commission at the start of the meeting; no additional policy direction or amendments to bylaws were made during the votes. The commission also approved the meeting agenda and the consent calendar by unanimous votes before moving to presentations and discussion items.
