The Imperial County Planning Commission voted to approve Parcel Map 02518, a subdivision application for property at 604 West Murphy Road in the city of Imperial.
Luis Valenzuela (staff) read the project record and said the application, submitted in the name of Josh Quintero, would subdivide the existing property into four legal parcels to separate an existing shop and allow future residential development. Staff recommended adopting a negative declaration under CEQA and approving the parcel map subject to attached conditions.
A representative from Precision Engineering and Surveying identified himself to the commission and confirmed he had read the project materials and agreed with the staff recommendations. No members of the public spoke on the item. A commissioner moved to approve Parcel Map 02518; the motion was seconded and passed on roll-call vote, with staff noting a 10-day appeal period.
Staff described proposed access and utilities: proposed Parcels 1 and 4 would use Morphy Road for physical access and Parcels 2 and 3 would use Nantucket Road; water and septic arrangements were described in the staff report. The staff presentation included parcel numbers and zoning designations. The commission’s action adopted the negative declaration and approved the map, subject to the conditions listed in the staff report.
