Mineola trustees approve routine permits, tow license and small contracts

John Jay asked the board to authorize an emergency repair to the Mineola Fire Department elevator by Otis Elevator Company at a total cost of $8,550, to be paid from the journal fund or reserve fund balance. Trustee Casado moved approval and Trustee Clark seconded; the board approved the emergency expenditure.
Mr. Palumbo requested and the board approved Change Order No. 10 to the P4/P5 treatment project contract with Metro Group of Long Island reflecting a $750 credit that reduces the overall contract amount.
The board authorized engineering services for Well No. 5, covering specified electrical and mechanical upgrades to be provided by D and B Engineers and Architects DPC at a cost of $83,000, with funding to come from the 2025–26 water fund budget or the water fund reserve balance.
