Morris County commissioners move to closed session to discuss labor negotiations and contracts

At the end of the Nov. 5 work session, Morris County commissioners voted to enter a closed session to discuss labor negotiations and matters involving contracts and attorney-client privilege.
County counsel read the resolution under the public meetings law, saying: "You are asked, pursuant to the old public meetings act, the board of county commissioners of the county and Morris in the state of New Jersey, may exclude the public to discuss such matters as provided for under the act." The resolution listed labor negotiations and contracts/attorney-client privileged matters as the topics for executive session and stated that matters discussed in executive session would be made public when confidentiality was no longer necessary.
