The motion to introduce the ordinance was moved, seconded and recorded as Yes by the present commissioners.
The board also introduced Ordinance 2025-39 on first reading, amending prior county ordinance language to increase the appropriation from the railroad maintenance reserve from $200,000 to $450,000 for replacement and maintenance of railroad systems across the county; the introduction passed by roll call vote.
During the resolutions portion of the agenda, commissioners approved multiple resolutions by roll call. A commissioner noted two items among those passed: Resolution 988, which authorizes $6,954,000 in open-space funding, and Resolution 976, which declares Nov. 29 Small Business Saturday.
