Under new business on May 6, the Covington City Council approved two procedural resolutions.
Resolution 2025-12 appointed Burt Duvig as the District E representative to the Covington Planning and Zoning Commission. Duvig accepted the appointment and said he looked forward to serving. The council approved the resolution by roll call.
Resolution 2025-13 certified and designated the president of the council as acting mayor while the mayor is out of town for more than 14 days, covering 06/09/2025 through 06/26/2025. Council members described the action as a standard procedural step and voted to adopt the resolution.
Both actions were adopted at the meeting and will be implemented by administration and council staff.
