The Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education voted June 26 to approve a resolution to renew an existing tax levy and to place the question on the November ballot. The board president said the district must prepare a statement of facts — required by the auditor — and adopt it before public discussion and campaigning. "We have to develop a statement of facts and then adopt it as a board of education," the president said.
Treasurer and staff indicated the submission deadline to the Board of Elections is early August, and they planned to deliver paperwork in time. Board members agreed to form a small working group (treasurer, superintendent and volunteer board members) to draft the statement for board adoption in July or August.
The roll call on the resolution recorded affirmative votes from members present and the motion passed. Next steps include drafting the auditor‑required statement of facts and returning to the board for adoption before public outreach.
