Middle‑school students from the Baldwin Union Free School District gave a short preview of 'Be Our Guest' from Beauty and the Beast Junior during the Feb. 11 board meeting.
Director Trisha Wilder and musical director Christine Benedetti led approximately 80 students in a staged number described by presenters as a showcase of choreography and ensemble work. The production dates were announced as March 12–14 at Baldwin Middle School; presenters urged the community to purchase tickets early because prior performances had sold out.
Board members and administrators praised the students and creative staff. The presentation was framed as a demonstration of the district’s fine‑arts programming and part of broader curriculum and extracurricular highlights included earlier in the meeting.
The board thanked staff and volunteers for arranging the brief performance so students could return to rehearsals on time.
