The Calvert County Board of Commissioners took several procedural actions during its Feb. 24 meeting, approving appointment and consent items and later moving into a closed session.
Staff requested three appointment actions: the appointment of Jennifer Pitts to the Heritage Committee; reappointment of Stuart Gibson, Raymond Meagher and Dustin Walker as regular members of the Gambling Permit Review Committee and appointment of Eric Thompson and Cynthia Camproni as alternates; and the reappointment of Lawrence Durovsky to the Economic Development Advisory Commission. Each was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board also approved a consent‑agenda item: the Calvert County Circuit Court FY2027 grant application for an adult treatment court, adopted by motion and voice vote.
Near the meeting’s close, the board unanimously approved a motion to recess into executive session citing personnel matters, acquisition of real property for public purpose, business recruitment, and pending or potential litigation as permissible discussion topics under General Provisions §3‑305. The closed‑session motion was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
