A Skillman representative described the amendment as a short contract amendment (two pages plus an exhibit) that lists projects, schedules a timeline starting in April and reflects a monthly fee structure to maintain the same team on site (Martin, Dale and Tanisha).
Victor, a Skillman representative, said the firm estimates 24 months of construction oversight and intends to bid the next packages including turf fields and a larger package for music additions and remaining high-school roof work later this summer. Board members asked whether Dale would continue; Skillman said Dale is an option and the same team can be retained.
Staff and board discussed an increase in professional-services fees relative to the original contract and referenced an approximate $96,000 increase; staff explained the increase reflects the longer oversight term (24 months versus the prior 20 months) and the monthly calculation used to derive fees. A motion to approve the amendment was moved and seconded and the amendment passed by voice vote.
