West Sacramento parks update: contractors, timelines and public-art sessions announced

The West Sacramento Parks & Recreation Commission heard a detailed parks and public-art update at its meeting tonight as staff outlined contractor selections, construction schedules and community outreach events.
The director said a construction management firm has been selected to oversee Bright Park’s master-plan implementation and that a construction contract will be awarded at the March 18 City Council meeting. "A lot going on — parks, parks, parks, and a lot of wonderful things in our community," the director said, adding that construction at Bright Park is expected to begin in June 2026.
