The Washington County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Feb. 24 to adopt engrossed ordinance 909, an amendment to the Cornelius Urban Planning Area Agreement.
Mister Barnett read the title of engrossed ordinance 909 and Michelle Miller, senior planner with Land Use and Transportation, presented the staff report. Miller said the planning commission recommended adoption and that the first public hearing on the engrossed ordinance occurred on Feb. 3; staff reported that no public comments had been received on the proposed changes to date.
After closing the hearing, the board moved and seconded to adopt engrossed ordinance 909. Clerk Hodges conducted a roll-call vote and the ordinance "passes unanimously 4 to 0." The board then moved and seconded to adopt the associated findings and authorized the chair to sign the resolution and order memorializing the action; that motion also carried unanimously 4 to 0.
What happens next: The chair was authorized to sign the findings and order, completing the county-level adoption process for this amendment to the Cornelius Urban Planning Area Agreement.
