During the public-comment portion of the Dec. 16 Lebanon City Schools board meeting, Juan Gonzales of 6 Oakwood Avenue addressed the board and accused the superintendent and the board of corrupt behavior.
Gonzales told the board his remarks were "part 6 of the corruption of Isaac Seaver, the superintendent, and the school board that condones his corrupt activity," and criticized what he called the "unnecessary expense" of having Lebanon police attend meetings, asserting the officers were being used to intimidate him. He said he was compiling documentation and screenshots "from over 300 people in this school district" and urged residents to identify candidates to run for board seats.
At the end of the meeting a board member said they did not share the public speaker's views, calling them "not credible" and "ridiculous." The record shows the allegations were raised during public comment and not resolved on the record; the board later moved on to routine business and then into executive session.
The board did not take any formal vote or disciplinary action in response to the public comment during the meeting.
