The amendments add a final design phase in 2025 and construction phases in 2026 and 2027. Herrimott noted a typographical error in the packet listing design costs as $180,000,000; the correct design-phase cost is $180,000.
Board members moved and voted to approve the three connected amendments by voice vote. Herrimott also briefed members on DOT's planned transition to an electronic STIP/project tracking system using an interactive cloud platform to improve transparency and reduce spreadsheet back-and-forth.
The board also heard updates on related state programs (TRIP solicitations, active transportation microgrants) and corridor studies including the Central Connecticut Loop Trail and airline-trail connections.
