The Planning Board voted to receive a site‑plan pre‑application for an addition to the Bibber (Gilbert) Funeral Home and to schedule a sidewalk stakeout.
Kendra Merritt (Speaker 12), civil engineer and project manager, told the board the proposal includes a roughly 1,000 square‑foot addition, a portico for ADA drop‑offs, and reconfiguration to increase parking to 54 spaces. "This will allow the members to be able to have drop offs at the front, for ADA accessibility," Merritt said. The applicant plans modest utility extensions and will assess an existing leach field if the addition requires it.
Planning members asked for a centerline stakeout of the proposed driveway and parking corners so staff can evaluate sidewalk and sight‑distance requirements. The board scheduled the sidewalk stakeout for Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8:00 a.m.; the motion to schedule the stakeout passed unanimously.
Staff noted stormwater and small increases in impervious area (approximately 3,000 sq ft of additional impervious surface in the sketch) will require standard stormwater review during the full plan set submission.
