Commission approves minor land‑use corrections for Davidson Realty parcels
Summary
The commission voted unanimously to treat two applications from Davidson Realty as minor variations: one correcting a drafting error to restore an intended 14.08‑acre future‑land‑use line and a second adding a 1.32‑acre parcel to a planned development, converting it to multifamily residential (MR‑2) for townhouse development.

The Georgetown Planning Commission on June 18 approved two minor variation requests from Davidson Realty to correct and expand previously approved future‑land‑use mappings.
Doug Liberman of Larson Engineering said the first item was a drafting correction: the applicant’s previously approved plan intended a 14.08‑acre line that had been misplaced on the map. The commission agreed the change was a minor variation that restores the originally approved acreage and allowed the applicant to move forward to the Office of State Planning Coordination for concurrence and then return for formal remapping and rezoning as needed.
Liberman also presented a separate, adjacent 1.32‑acre parcel that the landowner offered to append to the approved development; the commission was told that appending the parcel would keep the overall commercial frontage consistent while allowing the added land to convert to residential (multifamily, MR‑2, intended for townhouses). A motion to approve the minor variation for both parcels passed on roll‑call votes with all commissioners present voting yes.
Commissioners and staff described this as a corrective and administrative step that aligns the map with earlier approvals and enables the developer to proceed with subdivision and detailed plan work.
