The Burleson ISD Board of Trustees approved several routine actions Feb. 9, taking votes on property, personnel and financial housekeeping items.
The board approved consideration of selling a small tract of surplus district property to an abutting property owner after a motion and second; the chair stated there were no opposed votes and the motion passed.
Trustees granted the board president authority to approve new hires between the Feb. 9 meeting and the next regular meeting in March; the board will ratify those hires at the March meeting. The measure was seconded and approved with no opposition recorded.
The board also approved the consent agenda and approved budget amendments as presented. Chair announcements and the meeting transcript record motions and seconding, with the chair announcing each motion passed and noting "I see none opposed" on multiple items.
The board adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
