Board approves agenda, minutes, consent packages and enters executive session; key votes listed

The Lebanon City Schools Board of Education took a series of routine but consequential votes at its Feb. 17 meeting.

The board adopted the meeting agenda at the start of the session and approved minutes from the Jan. 12 meeting by roll call. In financial business, the board opened discussion and approved financial consent items (a–g) after a detailed forecast presentation. The board also approved a first reading of 19 policies, some of which reflect legal and financial updates, and approved two other educational consent items: continued membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and an overnight trip for high‑school junior ROTC students.

A large personnel consent package (items a–p) covering retirements, resignations, hires pending background checks, substitute and supplemental contracts, volunteer approvals, leaves, stipends and related personnel actions was approved by unanimous roll call.

Near the end of the meeting the board moved, seconded and approved a motion to enter executive session to discuss confidential economic development negotiation matters; the session began at 7:43 p.m. and no action was taken following the executive session announcement.
