Quincy ZBA approves subdivision and two single-family houses at 14 Albion Road

At the Feb. 24 hearing the board approved petition CBA2563, allowing the subdivision and construction of a 2.5-story single-family dwelling at 14 Albion Road. Applicant representatives said they moved the proposed house forward on the lot to create three parking spaces in the rear for each new home, demolished two detached garages and sought relief for minimum lot size, lot width, frontage and setback requirements.
Grama Wing, representing the applicant, told the board the proposal provides off-street parking, increases open-space calculations to roughly 44–45 percent for adjacent lots and aligns the new building with neighboring houses. Board members expressed general support and voted to accept the application as presented on a voice vote.
The board’s acceptance authorizes the variances described in the applicant’s submittal; any building or construction permits remain subject to the usual departmental reviews.
