One coach described using monthly statements to parents and bringing the account summary to the board ‘‘so then everybody knows exactly what's going on,’’ and the board agreed that cash collection at retailers should be minimized in favor of electronic payments or team accounts.
The board asked staff to develop a clear process for tournament-team finances and report back with recommended account structures and oversight procedures before tournament season.
