The Royal Palm Beach soccer program reported volunteers cleaned the concession stand and discussed operational changes to reduce supply trips and improve cash and facility security.
Meeting participants thanked volunteers (Amanda, Barb, Amy and others) for cleaning the concession stand and said Barb Pinto will serve as concession lead. The board discussed switching to a single supplier with delivery — Cheney Brothers was identified as able to supply most items and, with proper tax-exempt paperwork, could process orders without charging sales tax. Members suggested BJ's as a backup for items Cheney Brothers does not carry.
Leaders asked the village whether it wanted to change locks on the concession stand or allow the club to change locks and distribute keys. The meeting leader proposed a secured keying system to prevent unauthorized duplication and listed initial key holders for the concession and storage room (Barb Pinto, Amanda Lamb and meeting leader for the concession; Rocco, Vanessa, meeting leader and Fernando for storage room). Members discussed a deadbolt that appears broken and the need to replace a broken storage-room deadbolt.
The board also asked Amanda to purchase an inexpensive safe (about 6 cubic feet, less than 2 feet high) and asked for village approval to bolt the safe to the concrete floor. The safe had been ordered but delivery issues were noted.
The meeting did not record a formal vote on procurement or lock replacement; decisions were described as agreed next steps to improve security and streamline concession operations.
