Summary
In a public hearing on the 2024–25 annual performance report, the district reported a CCMR rate of 91.9% for the class of 2024, kindergarten readiness at 62.8%, and a teacher turnover rate of 15%, with an overall accountability rating of 84 and 111 special academic distinctions.
Donna Summers, executive director of program support and achievement, presented Pasadena ISD’s annual performance report for 2024–25 as required by the Texas Education Code and highlighted several metrics the district said show progress. She reported a college, career and military readiness (CCMR) rate of 91.9% for the class of 2024, noting that figure outpaced the state by approximately 10 percentage points.
On early childhood readiness, Summers said 62.8% of PISD students were identified as kindergarten-ready — higher than both regional and state percentages — and that students who attended public pre-K with regular attendance reached an even higher readiness rate (73%). Summers also highlighted staff metrics, saying average campus administrative experience was seven years and teacher turnover was 15% (below the state average). The district ended the year with an overall accountability rating of 84 and reported 111 special academic distinctions across campuses.
Summers directed the public to the district website where the full report and required postings are available and invited board questions; trustees congratulated staff for the work reflected in the report.
