Morrow County says health district construction nearly finished; unified 9-1-1 dispatch transition set for Dec. 22

County staff reported progress on two operational projects during the Nov. 6 Morrow County commissioners session: punch-list work on the health district building is nearly complete and the county’s 9-1-1 transition will begin immediately upon acceptance of a contractor quote.
Jamie told the board that the punch-list schedule with the contractor and architect is set for next week, and staff anticipate wrapping up the construction phase then. The health district move was described as scheduled for the week after that work finishes. Commissioners discussed accepting a quote to start the 9-1-1-transition work; that technical and coordination work was said to start on Monday. Staff described the target timeline as allowing on-site rearrangements through mid-December and a unified dispatch transmission for county residents expected to take place on Dec. 22.
Jeff and other staff were thanked for coordinating the 9-1-1 efforts and the construction punch-list. The update provided timing and operational details but did not supply a contractor name, contract value, or written project completion certificate during the meeting.
Next steps recorded in the session: acceptance of the quote to start 9-1-1-transition work and continued coordination between project staff, the contractor and the county architect; staff will report back as the project reaches completion milestones.
