Morrow County commissioners on Nov. 25 approved a slate of routine items on the consent agenda, including payment runs, appropriations and several interfund transfers, and received brief operations updates on a recent county health‑district relocation and the ongoing 9‑1‑1 consolidation.
Early in the session the board approved the notice of the Nov. 20 regular session and a consent package covering bills numbered 1–98 and multiple payments from municipalities. Commissioners also approved appropriations from the social services fund and the employee fund, and authorized transfers to the general fund for law enforcement, the jail, the detective unit, the board of elections and the engineer’s fund; roll call votes recorded affirmative responses on each motion.
Operations Director Jamie Parker told the board the Morrow County Health District has relocated to 48 Douglas Street in Mount Gilead and that the department appears to be settled in after a largely successful move. Parker also said electrical work and final inspections remain for a separate project (Simulco) and that crews hope to complete a 9‑1‑1 call‑center inspection and modification by the end of the week to support planned consolidation of two dispatch centers on Dec. 22.
Commissioners discussed contractor schedules and minor change orders for the dispatch consolidation. Staff said the new dispatch consoles and associated computer stations are expected to be delivered with integrated headsets and desktop units, allowing 9‑1‑1 staff to begin relocating and configuring desks once cabling is completed.
After routine business and the public‑comment period the board recessed and later returned to regular session to hear final updates; a motion to adjourn carried by roll call.
The meeting included no final vote on the solar project that drew most public attention.
