Morrow County commissioners approve routine payments, fund transfers and set 2025 budget hearing

Clerical staff read a list of payments that included Chesterville, Simontco and Kettering customers and a reimbursement for CAED inspections; after a motion and second the board recorded affirmative votes from the commissioners polled. The board also approved a transfer of funds to the general fund to cover jail expenses and a separate transfer to cover anticipated salaries in the Job and Family Services public-assistance budget.
The commissioners voted to advertise the time and place for a public hearing on the 2025 county budget appropriation so members of the public can comment before the board finalizes the budget. The motion to advertise was made, seconded and approved by the commissioners who were called and polled in the meeting.
Clerical staff also read a procedural entry referencing a rate effective Jan. 1, 2029; that item was moved, seconded and recorded as approved by commissioners who answered during roll call.
