Morrow County commissioners approve consent package of resolutions and fund transfers

The Morrow County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 11 approved a consent package that included the Dec. 9 minutes, the appropriation of unappropriated certified monies to the general fund, several transfers of county funds to capital and commissioner accounts, and multiple resolutions related to Job and Family Services staffing and travel.

Clerk read the minutes from the Dec. 9 regular session and Speaker 1 moved to approve them; a roll-call vote recorded affirmative responses from the commissioners called. The board then approved an appropriation of certified, unappropriated monies to the general fund and a transfer of cash to capital, each by motion, second and roll-call affirmation.

The clerk presented a set of resolutions affecting Job and Family Services that the board approved by voice or roll call. Those included a resolution authorizing (named in the transcript) Sunday Brown as director to approve staff attendance at training, conferences and meetings during 2025; a resolution authorizing the director to act on behalf of the commissioners during intercounty transfers of allotted funds; prior travel and overnight lodging for the director; and conversions of retirement/vacation leave for specified employees. The board also approved the August–October 2024 PQI committee report for Job and Family Services and a title for a contract between the Morrow County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Morrow County Prosecutor.

Each item was moved, seconded and recorded with affirmative roll-call responses by the commissioners. No recorded votes failed and no amendments or dissenting statements were recorded in the transcript for these items. The board discussed grouping multiple items into a consent agenda to streamline consideration.
